Construction began in December 2015 on this beautiful, 16′ custom fishing boat, designed by Michel Berryer of Van Dam Custom Boats and brought to life by their team of craftsmen. With a beam of 6’3”, and a half load displacement of 2,100 lbs, “Geepy” (Grandpa) is built from African mahogany for her frames and joinery and sapele ply for her ship-lay topsides.

Gliding silently through the water, her 12 h.p. electric drive is powered by (4) 8D batteries providing her a 4 to 5 knot cruise and about 6 hours for a runtime. A built-in (household current) charger will top off her cells from a full discharge in roughly 8 hours. Hydraulic steering, a generous rudder and partial skeg will provide excellent direction control and stability.
