Theodora was designed and built by Van Dam to handle the choppy waters of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Her heritage comes from the late 40’s and early 50’s, and a time of more relaxed lake-living on a historic lake in a resort region. Understated elegance was part of the brief. Above all, the execution had to meet the highest standards. Van Dam exceeded expectations. Her planking was hand selected from wood that came from a single tree. The stain was mixed by Van Dam exclusively for this project.
The polished stainless steel windshield frame and other hardware was designed and built by Van Dam in their own metal shop. No details were ignored. The seating was designed for maximum comfort, and the custom-made leather was sewn to perfection by one of Van Dam’s able partners. With two 300 hp V-8s to push her she reaches speeds in the low 50 mph range and handles the legendary chop on the lake with ease.
